This is one of my biggest Print project that I have worked on so far!! This project was to design the entire Russell Hobbs and George Foreman Stand for the BBC Good food Show 2011 at NEC Birmingham. This Project was quite challenging at first as I never worked with files at such a large scale and then had to deal with the printers to make sure that all of the files were ok for Print. The stand in itself was quite big as it it housed 4 sides, Hanging Tv’s playing advertisements, Archways with artwork on both sides, Large lifestyle imagery, product towers and also Demonstration areas.

The brief for this project was very simple as the Russell Hobbs Website had already been designed and there a very strong style running through the entire website. The brief was to create a total of 3 banners for the Deluxe Range Competition. The main Design was creating a full width Banner for the webpage that had to be able to blend in to the background on both sides to allow it to slide in and out of the page seamlessly.  The Second step was to add a small thumbnail image to allow the user to click on after reading the relevant article.

This is the very first Russell Hobbs E-Newsletter which was designed and released in late 2011. I had the pleasure of working on the Remington E-newsletters before i got to work on this brief so i was able to carry a few helpful aspects of the Remington email over to this one. The main aspect of this email template that i had to take into account was that every month the content would differ but i wouldn’t be the person creating it all, instead i would be taking control of the images while the marketing team took control of the text. This meant that once i had the grid structure up and running in the email it was just a case of swapping a few images and links and then let the text be swapped and a each months email was created as simple as that.

Getting all of the aspect of Russell Hobbs into this email was quite a challenge at first as all of the collections are very different so we needed to make clear what sections where going to stay the same each month and which would change. The email itself showcased:

• Product/s of the month
• recipe of the month
• Competition of the month
• Recent tabloid News
• Product related articles

This is an FSDU that was created for tesco using some of the existing assets for mens advertising for Remington mixed in with Tesco’s guidelines for in-store point of Sale. This was designed to fit in with Tesco’s theme of the there in-store point of sale while also keeping the Remington theme to the module. This was Printed a large scale and distributed to numerous Stores across the UK.

Owntheminute.com is a website that offers the user the opportunity to buy a minute of the day on the website’s homepage, which they will then own for the duration of the site’s existence. The owner of a minute can then display whatever they wish during their minute or minutes, from a photo or memorial, to an advertisement for example. The user’s chosen content will then display every day at the same time on the website’s homepage, with the option to edit their content also being available for a small fee.

The website is unique in the sense that no-where else on the internet can you effectively buy time, and the aim is to create internet history by following in the footsteps of the Million Dollar Homepage, which became a viral hit in 2004.

The brief was quite simple for this booklet which was to produce an A4 landscape look book to house and showcase all of the products that were being launched towards the end of 2011 and into the beginning of 2012. The main theme for this look book was that the collections of products that were being released were themed around fashion. As you can see from the image above we decided to go with a catwalk theme and make the images of the models set the theme for the document.

As you can see by the image above and below we decided to use lifestyle images of a model and a kitchen for every collection in the booklet. We used both of images on the double page spreads to reiterate the link between the kitchen and fashion.

Creating a clean, crisp looking email to match the sleek, professional look of the Touch Control trimmer was the brief that was set for this project. The email was to be sent out to press to advertise the release of new product and give them a brief insight as to what sets it apart from everything else on the market. Creating this design had a slight twist to it, which was that we had to get the style of the product and the assets into the email but at the same time not to give too much away for the launch of the product which featured after this email was sent out.

The brief was to design a web skin that that would sit in the background of the men’s health website on specific pages that housed the Remington product.
